'Twas our 4th weekend in a row on the road and I am officially over packing and unpacking and re-packing. And don't even get me started on the 22 hours of Barney we've calculated in our new minivan over four weekends' worth of driving. I tried to switch from Barney to Mickey Mouse club but they were not happy about that swap! Depressingly Matt and I now sing along to every Barney song as if we were singing to 20 on 20 on XM! Many times we call each other out, other times we sing in unison. Is this really what our lives have come to?!
Last weekend was spent in Columbus visiting with Babci and Dziadziu, Tim, Shonda, Alex and Evan. We also got to meet the latest addition to the Wawrzyniak clan...baby James. Once I receive pics from Dziadziu, I will post all of the fun and craziness that was had with 5 kids in one house for 2 days!!
This past weekend we headed to Jasper to celebrate Easter and continue plans on our renovations. Progress is being made and we hope to start demolition in the next few weeks. Now for getting our house in Indy on the market. Details, details!
Since I was totally unprepared for Easter weekend due to a couple of busy weeks, I neglected to buy any eggs for hunting so the girls went without an Easter egg hunt on the 1st year they may have actually participated in one. And I barely managed to fill their baskets with any treats either. I feel like such a terrible mom! However, what I lacked in Easter eggs the rest of the family made up for in sugar. I am pretty sure it is everyone's mission to get my children to like them and it is always a dreaded failure. They simply hate other people! But everyone keeps trying and sugar is usually the form of bait. For example, right before we headed back to Indy at 7pm last night, Bapa handed me Diana who had remnants of an iced sugar cookie all over her mouth and in her hands. Is it any surprise that 2 1/2 hours later she still looked like this:
What child doesn't fall asleep on a 2 1/2 car ride during bedtime in the dark of night with soft rain as a soother? To her defense, she barely made a peep the entire drive. Sugar coma at its finest!
Although Lilly appears to be in a deep snooze, she didn't get there until we hit 465. And yes, that fur you see at the bottom left is Miss Reagan. We just don't know how to do simple.
Despite the craziness of the holidays, the traveling, bunking up in a home that virtually has nothing in it and dealing with two kids who are still uncertain of other people and their surroundings and screamed anytime a 'stranger' (aka, close family member) looked at them, overall the girls 2nd Easter was a success! I am pretty sure they were amongst the two best behaved in the cry room at church, and obviously the outfits I pulled together at the strike of midnight prior to leaving were totally adorable, and when all else fails and I ask the girls to give each other a hug (now a kiss) and they DO...awe, melt my heart. :) (Thanks to cioci Becca for that new favorite trick! She even captured it on video when she babysat the girls last week!)
"Give your sister a kiss!" This is what I live for.... :)
OUR EASTER FUN!
Diana in her adorable bunny slippers from Babci and Dziadziu! Are those not the cutest things EVER?!
Lilly showing off her slippers too!
"Mom, why didn't the Easter bunny come?"
This is what I stare at most all day long...usually x 2! (This would be Diana)

Lilly & Diana looking cute on their 2nd Easter!
So sweet!
Lilly and the terrible baby-hating-monster Hannah!
Matt was rolling the girls around in this chair and although their expressions don't show it, they were loving it!
