We (Pacifier War) got spoofed!!!
Somewhere around 4am Matt's phone started blowing up with texts about the girls being on Jay Leno. My phone was dead (shocking, I know), but come the morning when I charged it I soon learned I have absolutely ZERO friends who stay up late enough to watch Jay Leno. Don't worry gals, I'm right there with you! :)
Matt was too exhausted to be intrigued at 4am so we didn't watch until this morning. Unlike some of the other shows, I was never contacted by The Tonight Show crew so didn't have this one DVR'd. Luckily it was already on the web....and I have to admit the ENTIRE clip is hilarious! I had never seen these "Pumpcasting" clips therefore my curiosity was piqued knowing my girls were somehow going to be a part of it. I kept telling Matt, "I don't think we are watching the right thing!" And then it came...and boy it did not disappoint!!
My only worry comes later in life when my girls watch this video and ask me about the clip before them, addressing the racy/pornographic book Fifty Shades of Grey. I think I will lie and say I never read it.

Scooter Gals
Pretty impressed with my girls' scooter skills considering this was only the 2nd time we had taken them on a test spin!! Good work, girls! Am pretty sure you will be unstoppable by the end of summer.
Di - yellow; Lil - purple
And they're off!

We went to a nearby church parking lot so they can have all sorts of room to scoot!
Not going to lie, Lil is one coordinated chica!
Diana is right with her sister...check out that concentration!
Every athlete needs a break!
Lilly critiquing Diana's form.
Lil taking another rest. It was hot that day!
All good things must end in injury....Lil's 1st tumble!
Diana immediately jumped off her scooter and came to her rescue!! (Notice I take time to snap this picture instead of running to my child!)
There wasn't even a need for me, Di had it covered.
Now Lil doesn't want to get back on her scooter.
I bribed her by saying we'd go to a park after this - it worked!

Mother's Day 2012
Not that I need a day to remind myself how lucky I am to be a mom, but let's face it, sometimes we all need a little reminder of how lucky we are for all the blessings in our lives. I still am bitter that I couldn't wake up today and hug my kids and then hug my mom...what a completely wholesome feeling that would be! But at the end of the day, I still feel like the luckiest girl in the world!
My day started off missing my mom more than being thankful that I am a mom, but then again I've only been a mother for like 2 seconds compared to how long I was a daughter so I shouldn't beat myself up over that, right?! I think it's only natural that the 1st person I think of on Mother's Day is my own mother. My kids call her "Gand-ma Di-yann" and recognize her in photos. It's a little bittersweet having kids who can now say her name and point her out when they see a picture of her. Di knows she is named after her. If anything my kids were about the only two people I knew who were oblivious to our loss, and although I want them to know all about their grandparents, I realize I am opening myself up to loads of questions and confusion in the future and I just don't know that I'm ready for that. But it's a small price I'll pay for teaching my kids how TOTALLY AWESOME my parents were!
So today, after opening up the handmade gifts that the girls made me yesterday at the Chalk Walk (with the help of daddy), we decided to hit up the Louisville Zoo. The forecast quickly changed from 30% chance of rain to 60% to 100%...all in an hour's drive there! So we took a detour to the Children's Science Museum instead where they claim to have a KidZone. Ummm...we migrated from the Indianapolis Children's Museum people, so I am being nice by saying that I was extremely disappointed! I mean, what kid wants to learn about "The Life of a Log"? However, dear Lauren, shove foot in mouth. My kids loved it! Their capacity to remember the golden days of the Indianapolis Children's Museum has either expired or they are two kids easy to please! The "Bippo" (aka, hippo) was quickly forgotten and replaced by a giant bubble-making machine, and what kid doesn't love that?!
After that I was able to convince Matt to an hour (or two) of shopping at the mall while he entertained the kids. I really only wanted to make two stops: Potterybarn Kids and Von Maur. While at PBK, Matt had the girls directly outside the store so they kept running in to say hi to me, then running back out to Matt. They did this at least 15 times each...I was getting no where with my window treatment shopping, but I was desperate to make a purchase (they were on sale!) However, finally an employee came up to me and said, "Ma'am, do you have someone else watching your kids because they seem to be unattended running in and out of the store?" Even if I didn't have another eye on them, just throw me a Mother's Day bone lady and let my kids run rampant and risk being whisked away by a stranger...I had curtains to buy!
And then at Von Maur I was really hoping to do a little dress shopping for an upcoming wedding in Florida which I have online shopped for twice and failed both times. After 15 minutes of browsing, I came back downstairs empty-handed and Matt said, "You didn't buy anything?" And I said "No." And he asked "Why?" And I replied, "I couldn't concentrate because the entire time all I heard were my kids yelling as they rode the escalators up and down 100 times." Matt looked sheepish and said, "Oh crap, sorry." Reminder to self: either leave kids totally behind while shopping or take kids shopping with you but have ZERO expectations!
To Matt, Lil & Di...thanks for making this Mother's Day one of the best ones yet! Happy Mother's Day to all!

Happy but Depressing?
In my search for a copy of Friday's GMA "Play of the Day", I came across the bottom of the page where you can view videos based on its sentiment...or at least that's what I thought it was based on. When I clicked, "Happy", the girls' video was the 1st to choose from and that, in turn, made me quite happy! But then I read the titles of a few others and stumbled upon another video titled "Cheetahs Mauls Woman on 60th Birthday Trip." Not sure how this poor woman would feel about that being categorized as "Happy" video! Or the fact that it was videotaped at all! Perhaps that would be better suited for the "Depressing" category?

Good Morning America
I was so lucky to have received a phone call from my best friend Mindy who had GMA on this morning which is aired an hour earlier in Indy. She was squealing that the girls were just on!! So I had the DVR set, gathered my camera to capture some photos and video of the girls, changed 2 dirty diapers, got them both dressed (we had a playdate to get to!), spilled an entire cup of hot coffee on the couch and floor, filled many requests for "Dora", "more cereal", "more milk" "a banana please"...and on and on and finally got the girls to settle in front of the TV while we waited for their big TV debut! I prepped them that they were going to be on but they never once listened to me and were way more concerned that they weren't watching their morning cartoons.
However, I decided to video their reaction anyway and boy am I glad I did!! Check out Lil's face at the beginning, Di's sweet reaction afterwards, and then they both go right back to eating their cereal! You can obviously tell that this was the 1st time I viewed it as well b/c I couldn't contain my excitement!
Here was the write-up that can be found on GMA's website. The footage from today's show hasn't been aired yet so will post for anyone who missed it!

Watch: Identical Twin Girls' Adorable Pacifier Tug of War
Twin girls who share a pacifier are the latest toddlers to take YouTube by storm.
A video in which the identical twins take a pink pacifier out of the other one’s mouth and then place it in their own went viral online this week.
Twins Lillian and Diana Bajorek were nine months old at the time, their mother, Lauren Seger said. She first posted the video online in 2010 to share with friends and family after she and husband, Matt, were amused by their girls’ pacifier antics.
The video has over 500,000 views on YouTube.
Now, Lillian and Diana are two years old and have had to say goodbye to their beloved pacifiers, making this home video slightly hard for the family to watch.
“This video has now come back to haunt me because every time my girls see it they scream, ‘Paci!’ Lauren Seger said.
The proud mom has uploaded more videos of the twins acting silly together today, spoon feeding each other yogurt, and singing and laughing in unison.
Oh, and since this blog is now becoming my journal to capture this crazy time in our life, I must also point out that the video is on Perez Hilton!!!!
