We've been in Jasper nearly a week now and I am happy to report that me, Matt, Lilly and Diana have all adjusted nicely into our new(est) abode. Reagan on the other hand? She hasn't fared so well and has decided to go on a hunger strike.
Here are her reasons: 1) there are crazy storms down here and she hates storms; 2) there is not a walking path at our footsteps so she has gotten exactly zero walks since our arrival; 3) there is virtually no traffic on this peaceful cul-de-sac therefore she has nothing to bark at or attack; 4) the girls are stealing all the attention from visitors, not that Reagan was getting any before; and 5) she misses her partner-in-crime, Ella Graudins Seger.
I can't say I am all that worried - I am pretty sure she did the exact same thing when we moved the last time. Little does she know that once she adjusts to this house, there is yet ANOTHER move in her near future. What will be weird is that she knows that home and still runs into the great room expecting my dad to be in his chair ready to play with her. Boy, as if this dog isn't confused enough! Doggy prozac, here we come.
As for the humans in this household, we are all doing great! Lilly and Diana are once again residing in the same bedroom and besides the 1st night of watching them on the monitor throwing pacifiers at each other, they are sleeping great! They haven't been in the same room since prior to Diana being in the hospital when they were 9 months old. They are happy, adjusting so well to 'strangers' (aka, family), and appearing to love their new life in Jasper. Let's hope they take to our next home as well as they are taking to this one! Speaking of this home, it's AMAZING and it also just so happens to be FOR SALE. Call me if interested. ;)
Regarding my parents' home (until Matt and I officially move in, I still refer to it as "my parents' home"), things are rocking and rolling and, fingers crossed, we are told we may be in by August 1. Here is a sneak peak of the fun going on at 1376:
