Goodbye Cincinnati, hello Michigan!

We got back from Cincinnati today, and tomorrow are heading to Michigan for a VACATION!

GOODBYE CINCINNATI
We spent the weekend in Cincy for our nephew Alex's 3rd birthday!  Before I proceed, let me take a moment to define a few of the terms I will likely be using in this post:

Dziadziu (Ja'jew) = grandpa
Babci (Bobshe) = grandma
Ciocia (Chuchee) = aunt
It's Polish...that's all you need to know!  I gave up long ago trying to figure out all those crazy consonants!

Anyway, despite what could have been a major party bust (power outage the SECOND the party started - meaning no A/C for an hour plus in a house full of ppl in 95 degree heat!), the party was a lot of fun and Alex had a hay day playing with his friends, opening his gifts, zipping around on the scooter we got him, and staying up way past his bedtime while the rest of us played a few rounds of "Oh Hell."  Dziadziu played photog the whole evening and got some great pics of the girls!  Here are a few of my fave shots:

Diana
She LOVED Alex's new Lightning McQueen bed!  Also, getting a kiss from cousin Evan and swinging on the porch with Babci!

Lilly
Having some fun on mommy's lap and in her walker!

The Bajorek Cousins
Could 4 people look anymore miserable???  It doesn't help that Diana and Lil still have their filthy bibs on and Evan has in a hairbow courtesy of Uncle Matt!

HELLO MICHIGAN
Yes, you heard me correctly earlier - we are going on VACATION!  Let me rephrase...we are going on "vacation!"  Yes, that word needs quotes and probably not so big of letters.  We leave in T minus 8 hrs. (early Monday morning) to begin the 7 hr. journey to Bay Harbor, MI.  Call us nuts, I am sure you are not the only one!  Matt and I have been desperate to get away for about a year and a half now and had to cancel several planned trips in 2009, so even though this may not be the most relaxing of vacations, we are still VERY excited to get away for a while!  Thanks to our new Ipad, I can blog while there and keep everyone updated on our adventures!  I keep envisioning my 1st post to read one of two things:  "We turned around halfway there and are now back in Indy!" or "We picked up a decent looking hitchhiker who agreed to babysit the girls for a week!"  Let's pray for neither...stay tuned!

Cutest blog on the block
