Guess what, after all doctors have come and gone today, the verdict is......WE MIGHT GO HOME AS EARLY AS TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!! The next 24 hours are crucial to this decision. If the doctor does not see enough improvement tomorrow morning, we travel back to those dreadful two words...PICC line. So, fingers, toes, eyes and ears crossed that our little Di can show enough improvement on the oral meds to get us the heck out of here and back at home in time for Thanksgiving, and more importantly...reunited with our Lil Bean!! There still will be a question of how the finger will ultimately heal and whether damage has been done to it, but we will cross that bridge when we get to it.
You know what this means now that Diana is not attached to an IV, right? WILD!! CHILD!! Right now she is in her crib literally plunging her entire body from one side to the next. Those metal bars she keeps smacking into apparently aren't going to stop her. It's like she's screaming, "FREEDOM AT LAST!!" But, actually she keeps saying, "mamamamamamamamamama."
I was able to spend a few hours this morning with Lilly. I walked into her room when she woke up and she was sitting up in her crib, but when she saw me she went flat on her belly and started flailing like a fish out of water she was so darn excited!! Talk about making mommy feel good. :) She is now in the hands of Phil, Krista and the feisty Addie-boo until we get out of the hospital. Addie definitely puts Lilly in her place, which I think will be good for Lilly to balance out all the extra attention she has been getting lately!
I hope tomorrow my post will be titled, "GOING HOME!!"
